Myofascial & Trigger Point Therapy

Myofascial trigger points are an extremely common cause of pain. Trigger points are painful when pressed on, cause a shortening of the muscle fibers, and have a special property called referred pain. Referred pain means that a trigger point in one muscle can create pain in another area.

Trigger points can build up on different parts of the body and the referred pain can easily continue to disrupt the function of the areas that it is affecting. Deep tissue myofascial therapy can help reduce inflammation, increase circulation, and allow the muscle groups in affect to return to their normal state.

Swedish Massage

Involves long, fluid strokes of muscles and tissues. This type of massage is considered to be one of the most relaxing styles.

Deep Tissue

Used to break up scar tissue and knots that can disrupt circulation and cause pain, limited range of motion, and inflammation.

Cupping

A therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create extreme suction. Helps with pain,

inflammation, and well-being.

Myofascial Therapy

Helps reduce inflammation, increase circulation, and allow the muscle groups to return to their normal state.

Trigger Point Therapy

A trigger point in one muscle can create pain in another area. We find these points and relax them, relieving the disrupted areas.

If you suffer from pain or other musculo skeletal problems, insurance may cover Myofascial Therapy. Call our office today so we can verify your benefits.
